Aquatic Therapy & Watsu
Aquatic TherapyAquatic Therapy with Dr Julie Rosenblatt is based on the belief that our bodies have the ability to heal themselves when allowed to sense the potential for movement and alignment in the physical, emotional and spiritual planes.
The support of the water takes weight off the vertebrae and allows the spine to be moved in ways impossible on land. The warmth of the water (94-96 degrees) and the nurturing experience of an aquatic therapy session will help to promote relaxation, decrease fatigue, and release muscle tension. Aquatic Therapy sessions with Dr. Julie are completely private and one hour long, allowing for a period to unwind at the beginning and an unrushed exit from the pool at the end. Our facility includes a private changing and shower area, organic cotton and bamboo robes, and a serene pool environment. |
WATSU™

Watsu™ sessions with Emily Stuart, LMT and WABA Certified Watsu™ Practitioner at Integrated Wellness Center take place in our yurt pool, filled with saltwater heated to 98 degrees. Watsu™ is a gentle form of bodywork that combines massage and stretching as you are moved slowly through heated water. Your body will be continuously supported, with your face always above the surface of the water, as Emily moves you slowly through the pool.
Watsu™ at Integrated Wellness Center is scheduled during private, 60-minute sessions. You can dress in whatever water clothing you feel comfortable in; most people wear a swimsuit but some prefer sweats and tees or other garb - Your comfort is the most important factor. We have a private changing and shower area along with a robes to keep you warm and covered before and after your session.
If you'd like more information about the many benefits of Watsu™ or a tour of our pool, please give us a call at 206.842.4219 or drop by during our front desk hours.
